My name is
Mike Giles and
not long ago I
was working in a
job I really couldn’t
stand, certain
that there had
to be a much
better
alternative out
there somewhere
but had not as
yet figured it
out. |

Frankly, I wanted not
only to be rich but also
to find a way of
spending my time which
was exciting, rewarding
and hugely varied (i.e.
not doing the same
boring things day in,
day out)
At that stage I used to
see super-successful
entrepreneurs as pretty
much a different
species.
The world of the wealthy
seemed to be shrouded in
mystery, full of seemingly
untouchableand
hugely talented people
who had skills,
knowledge and ability
that were way beyond the
reach of most ‘ordinary’
people.
That was until a chance
encounter led me to
stumble upon what I
thought was a very
peculiarly entitled book
written by a man called Bob
Proctor.
The book was called ‘You
Were Born Rich’.
And although this was
the last book on earth
that I would usually opt
to choose, the person
who handed it to me told
me I absolutely had to
read it. So I did and
when I was literally a
few pages in, the most
enormous light bulb went
off in my head.
It was as if I had been wrenched
out of my ‘ordinary
world’ and
dropped into an entirely
new world.
It was as if the book
had been written especially
for me.
More than anything I had
ever read before, this
book had a huge impact
on me.
In fact, it made me
realise - without
the tiniest shred of
doubt -
that of ‘working in
normal job’ (as I was at
the time) was simply not
an option for me.
Why, when there were
people out there (people
who really didn't seem
to be that different to
me) spending each and
every day doing things
they loved to do (and
making great money) was
I working in a job I
found utterly painful?
The book made me realise
that there was this
whole new world of
people (entrepreneurs
living extraordinary
lives) – who were actually
much more like me than
the people at my utterly
miserable job!
These people actually looked
forward to getting
up each morning (which
was a totally alien
concept to me at the
time) and no longer had
to worry about money,
paying bills and all the
other things which most
people spend most of
their lives fretting
over.
It was a bizarre
occurrence for me to
even contemplate reading
the book as the notion
of being ‘born rich’ and
able to ‘achieve
anything you set your
mind to’ just seemed to
me to be cheap,
idealistic nonsense.
I'm not really sure why
I decided to read the
book in the end, that I
did...
Either way, it is hard
to overstate what a
massive impact it had on
me.
Although I didn't know
exactly how the next few
years would unfold, I
knew that the days of
working 'a normal job'
were definitely over.
It all sounded
easy on paper, but the
truth is the reality is
very different
Although Bob’s book had
had a major impact on my
life and although I did
manage to quadruple my
income in less than 18
months as I went from a
painful and frankly
hideous job working for
a dire supermarket
company (which is a
whole other story in its
own right) to Sales and
Marketing Director for
the country’s third
fastest growing
technology company… I
was still some way short
of what I really wanted…
Like most
entrepreneurial people,
I wanted the freedom to
do things my
way -
on my ownterms.
And let’s be frank about
this, I wanted to get
rich – partly to buy
nice things and travel
to nice places but
mainly because I was
pretty much obsessed
with getting to a place
where I had enough money
to be able to choose to
do whatever I wanted
with my time and not be
dictated to by my
employer or anybody else
for that matter!
So, Bob Proctor’s book
‘You Were Born Rich’ had
opened the door for me
and sent me off in a new
(and FAR more
exciting) direction than
at any other time in my
life.
I started reading more
and more books about
wealth creation and
business growth by some
amazing people such as
Napoleon Hill, Richard
Branson, Dan Kennedy and
anything else I could
get my hands on…
… In fact, I read
hundreds…
…And hundreds
And guess what happened?
Very little
changed!
You see, although I was
reading avidly and
feeling really upbeat
about the future, I
wasn't experiencing any
really dramatic
change in
terms of my results and
income...
...I wasn’t actually DOING anything,
or more accurately, I
was doing stuff but
I wasn’t ‘doing the
right stuff’ (that
turned merely ‘feeling
good’ into ‘getting good results’)
And the reason I wasn’t ‘doing
the right stuff’ wasn’t
because I was lazy or
didn’t have the
motivation (as I had
motivation in
abundance)…
… It was plainly and
simply because:
My actions were
out of step with the
actions of the people
who were living the kind
of life I aspired to…
I was fully aware what
it was that wealthy
people were doing but
I was failing to
actually DO what they
were doing.
It was as if I was an
outsider reading about
all these hugely
successful business men
and women, but not
actually becoming a part
of their world.
In other words, it was a
kind of one-dimensional
experience – it was like
watching an amazing
performance of a live
band on stage as an observer when what
I really wanted was to
be in the band...
I realised that it was a
really easy skill to observe what
other entrepreneurs were
doing (to read about
them or think about
their businesses) but
to do what it was they
were doing somehow
seemed much harder…
One of the world’s
foremost marketing
geniuses (who I've
already mentioned) – a
guy I was lucky enough
to go and see every now
and then at conferences
so that I could tap into
his amazing world,
specializes in helping
ordinary people earn
more money in 12 months
than they earned in the
previous 12 years combined! -
puts it brilliantly:
"If
you get your behaviour
congruent with whatever
your wealth goals are
and congruent with
others who have achieved
your wealth goals it is
an absolute certainty
that your wealth will
come flowing in –
probably faster than you
would have imagined"

Why is it then
that so many of us find
it so impossibly
difficult to do the
things we need to do to
get the results we
crave?
In a nutshell it is
because we behave like
distant observers to the
world we are trying to
access and this will NEVER cut
the ice…
… What we absolutely
MUST become is
‘experiential
participants’.
In other words, we have
to immerse ourselves
more fully and
completely in the world
of the people who
already have what it is
that we want.
This is the only certain route
to wealth (think about
it, not only does it
make sense, it has to
make sense).
There are lots of other
personal development and
business growth tactics
and techniques you can
adopt - some of which
are tenuous at best and
plainly ridiculous at
worst – but the only real-world,
unhyped and practical
method is by modelling
the behaviour of the
people who already have
what it is we want.
Not only do we need to
become intimately aware
of what exceptionally
successful people arethinking,
we need to be able to
climb inside their heads
(just like an actor
would) and start tobehave like
them…
It is important though
to make a point here.
This is absolutely NOT about
becoming a clone of one
individual person you
may admire.
In fact, it is
emphatically the
OPPOSITE! You see true entrepreneurship
is about putting yourown stamp
on the world.
Immersing yourself fully
and completely in the
world of the
super-successful and
borrowing (yes,
‘borrowing’ – there is
no such thing as an
original idea) the best
bits from everyone
around you to create a
business which
completely reflects you
and your values and
enables you to live out
your dream…
In order to do this you
have to make sure that
the cards are fully
stacked in your favour.
Think about it like
this…
If you spend enough time
with people who have a
different dialect or
accent to you you will
find it hard to avoid
adopting the same accent
(particularly if you let
go and allow yourself
to)…
If you spend enough time
immersed in a world of
wealthy, successful
people (and make a
definite decision not
only to observe but to do the
things they are doing in
their businesses and
lives)you simply
can’t avoid becoming
rich.
So put bluntly,
you NEED to
change your environment
and start to DOwhat
wealthy people are doing!
You see, the reason
there is a mismatch
between what you THINK and
what you DO…
…is that thinking (without
action) leads to nothing
(other than frustration)
whereas action leads
to real, tangible
results (which –
bizarrely – most
people are petrified of!).
Let me explain…
We all become used to
the environment we find
ourselves in (and to a
greater or lesser extent
our behaviour closely
reflects our environment
(our physical
environment as well as
the people we mix with)
And clever as the brain
is, it finds it hard to
differentiate between a
real environemtn and a
simulated environment.
So for example, in order
to learn Greek we do not
have to go to Greece. As
long as we can feed the
brain the information it
needs to help us to
learn the Greek
language, that’s all
that’s required.
So, if there was
a way for you to
SIMULATE a wealthy
environment (from the
comfort of your own
home) and constantly
feed the brain
information (real
conversations with
hugely successful
entrepreneurs every week
of the year) it
will become almost
impossible for
you not to experience a
huge leap forward in
your actual results
And if there was a way
to do that with
absolutely no risk
involved and
the most enormous
potential upside?
Well there is, it’s
called Meet The Giants

I am going to introduce

Firstly though, I would
imagine that you have a
sense of knowing (either
consciously or

The difference between
‘making it’ and ‘not
making it’ is truly like
a razor’s edge.
You want to do
everything in your power to
make 100% certain that
you are not left with
the 96% in the ‘almost
made it’ camp.
