E-solutions incorporates e-commerce but also non
e-commerce solutions and revolves largely around
database management. What I mean by this is that
most e-solutions revolve around a database, and
include things like Website Content Management,
Customer Relations Management, Ordering and
Sales Management, various HR tools, Training and
E-Learning, General Client Management,
Accounting Systems, Point of Sale systems and
Communications systems, particularly
incorporating different technologies like Mobile
Phones and PDAs.
The power of e-solutions is unquestionable - you
as an individual probably interact with
e-solutions many times in one day and not even
on a computer, but through things like your
mobile phone, ATM, or the till you are paying
for something at. E-solutions is very much a
part of our every day life.
So what can e-solutions do for entrepreneurs?
Well, simply put, anything you want! The power
comes in the strategy around what you want to
achieve. This should always be driven by the
understanding that solutions should either save
or make money for your company.
Is e-solutions accessible for entrepreneurs?
Absolutely. There are many off-the-shelf
solutions available but they can be expensive.
Things like general accounting packages are
normally pretty cost effective but some
companies develop largely for the large
corporate market and their packages may be far
too expensive to be practical for entrepreneurs.
However, take something like CRM (Client
Relations management) – where packaged CRM
solutions could cost an arm and a leg, there are
some very good online e-solutions that are very
affordable for entrepreneurs.
Alternatively you can build your own solutions.
