The Entrepreneur.co.za Guide Programme is a 1-on-1
mentoring programme where a selected Guide will work
with you on a weekly basis to help you create absolute
clarity as to what it is you want from your business and
how to achieve it. Your Guide will hold you accountable
for taking the relevant agreed upon action steps in this
regard, and will monitor and help you assess the
results.
The Guide Programme is very process-driven
ensuring that the Guidee, the Guide and the Guide Team
can all monitor progress effectively and ensure optimal
results. The entire process is managed on a shared
project plan hosted on Google Docs.
Why would you need Guiding?
The truth is that it is not always easy to see things
clearly and objectively and make the right decisions
within your own entrepreneurial endeavours. What's more
is that most entrepreneurs struggle with accountability,
and as a result, often don’t follow through with their
plans. The Guide Programme is
specifically designed to make your journey easier. It is
about having someone there to guide you and show you the
best business approaches to engage when your own
objectivity about your endeavour has left the equation.
The Guide Programme serves to steer you in the right
direction when you can’t see the wood for the trees, and
of critical importance, the Guide Programme serves to
hold you accountable.
Most entrepreneurs are not able to apply the benefit of
their own objective decisiveness in planning and
executing action steps within their businesses because
they so often lose objectivity in this regard. They also
very seldom have the benefit of being held accountable
for ensuring that their business results and outcomes
are continually kept running at an optimum. It is
precisely these guided elements that all entrepreneurs
need to keep their businesses running efficiently and at
optimal productivity levels.
Who actually Guides you?
Although an individual Guide is selected for you, the
Guide Process is actually a team effort. The Guides are
supported by Brian Walsh (Brian is the individual Guide
of certain select entrepreneurs as well), the full team
of resident experts at Entrepreneur.co.za and a Guide
Management Team.
This means that you actually get the benefit of a full
team supporting you. Your individual Guide will be the
person who holds your weekly sessions with you, but the
Guide Manager is there to support you as well. The Guide
will consult the team of resident experts and Brian
Walsh as necessary.
Guides are selected based on their expertise in
entrepreneurship as well as their overall experience.
Guides are not employed or retained as such on a
full-time basis, but rather, they are full-time
entrepreneurs who specialise in assisting other
entrepreneurs achieve greater results. This is truly a
team effort with one common goal - the personal and
business success of the Guidee.
How does it work?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept everyone into the Guide
Process. After filling in the initial application, you
will be contacted by the Guide Manager and asked certain
questions. The Guide panel will then assess your
application and make the decision as to whether or not
to assign a Guide to you.
If you are accepted and assigned a Guide, your Guide
will take you through a 4
Step Process:
1.
Once a sound understanding of your business has been
established, your Guide will set about helping you
clearly define your goals and the required outcomes to
be achieved by set periods of time, such as 3 months, 6
months and 12 months.

Your Guide will then help you create a defined Plan of
Action which will include detailed tasks, task
delegation and deadlines for task completion towards
achieving your required outcomes.

Your Guide will drive the plan through with you, holding
you accountable for planned progress each week and
ensuring you follow tasks through to completion by the
set deadlines. Your Guide will also guide you with
regards to implementing certain systems and processes in
your business that will help you achieve greater and
greater results.
4.
Your Guide will assess your progress and that of your
business, and where necessary, recommend changes to your
approach.
What do you get?
The Guide Process is primarily conducted on a virtual
basis, although Guides may meet Guidees face to face on
a discretionary basis should this be deemed beneficial
for the Process. Guidees receive the following:
Minimum 4 Guide Sessions each month
- Every week your guide will spend 45
minutes with you on Skype (or occasionally
face to face should this be agreed). These
sessions are process-driven with
specific outcomes planned for each session.
The first 4 sessions will be geared
primarily towards clarifying where you are
and what you want to accomplish, and then
putting a plan together to achieve this.
Project Plan
– Your Guide will develop and monitor a
special Project Plan for you designed on
Google Docs. This is a shared Plan that both
you and your Guide will be able to access.
The Plan may also be shared with other
selected people in your team.
24-hour Access
– Your Guide will be available to you around
the clock for emergencies or urgent
decisions and input.
Access to our Treasure Chest of Resources
– Both you and your Guide will have access
to our many resident experts, our resources
and the wealth of knowledge and experience
of Brian Walsh and his team combined.
The Guide Manager
- The Guide Manager will be responsible for
your overall well-being, and will contact
you periodically to find out if you are
happy with your Guide and the overall
process. The Guide Manager will also assess
your progress every 3 months to ensure that
you are benefitting, and that your business
is moving forward as it should. The Guide
Manager is available to you at all times.
Success Club Membership
- Included in the Guide Programme is a full
Success Club Membership which gives you
access to masses of online resources as well
as special audio CDs which are sent to you
every month. Other benefits include
discounts on events, opportunities to
promote your business, and many invaluable
networking opportunities.
What is the investment?
While we know for certain that most entrepreneurs would
benefit tremendously from the Guide Programme, it does
require a certain amount of financial stability to be
able to participate. However, the investment required is
very fair in exchange for the massive amount of support
you’ll receive. As previously mentioned though, we can
only select a limited number of entrepreneurs into this
Programme, and your ability to comfortably afford to
participate will be one of the determining factors.
